Kay Ridge – President. Kay Ridge has been an integral member of the business sector since she moved to Maleny 25 years ago. Kay has run several businesses in Maleny and now is the Director of Dash Social – Social Media and Marketing business.  Kay is a guru in LinkedIn and has a Diploma in Social Media and Marketing, and is currently completing a Bachelor of Marketing and Communication.

Rev Scott Kroeger – Vice President. Rev Scott Kroeger – Vice President. Scott is a retired Presbyterian minister of 35+ years and volunteers as Community Chaplain with Maleny Business Chaplaincy. He owned and operated his own business reclaiming lame horses to soundness. Scott has been active with the Chamber for a number of years working on various sub-committees. He has served on the Chamber Executive for last few years. He has also served on a number of local committees within Maleny. An avid motorcycle rider, Scott is a member of the Ulysses Club. An advocate for maintaining good business practices in sustainable ways, Scott’s passion is to foster cooperation with local businesses in keeping our small country town strong and healthy. Clive Waring – Secretary. Clive has been in business for forty years. He was the senior technical consultant and sales executive for the Polaroid Corporation in the 1990s. In 1998 he established the Silvershotz group of companies with offices in Brisbane, London and Los Angeles; he finally closed these offices in 2017 and Silvershotz is 23 years old this year with its office in Maleny.
Currently he has a full time photographic studio in Maleny servicing weddings, portraits, restoration of vintage photos plus product and commercial images for websites. Clive and his wife Elizabeth have been residents of Maleny since 2010 and enjoy the community, fresh air, fresh food and the magic of the hinterland. Jennepher Bucher – Treasurer. Jenn’s main day role is Business Manager in her family’s business, Maleny Cheese. After completing her business degree in Accounting & Financial Planning she is happy to still call Maleny home for just over 16 years now. Jenn enjoys volunteering her spare time in the community to the groups such as Slow Food, FAN (food & agribusiness network) Events Committee and most recently Hinterland Tourism. Enjoying fresh, local food and bringing people up to our beautiful part of the world is what she is most passionate about. Jenn is excited to be part of the tourism subcommittee in 2018-19 and work together with local businesses & events to give our tourists and locals a unique experience.

Paulette Steele – Committee Member. A relatively newcomer to Maleny, having been here only two years, Paulette quickly immersed herself into the community getting involved with the Rotary Club of Maleny, becoming a Director with Smart Living Society Limited and various other local groups. Last year, she took charge of the Maleny Christmas Carnival Raffle and this year is heading the sub-committee for the Maleny Christmas Carnival, as she loves Christmas festivities. Working from home in recruiting and business development these days, Paulette had a long career in fashion retail culminating in a senior executive buying role with one of Australia’s leading retailers for some years, before moving into other areas such as real estate sales and part-time flight instruction in light aircraft.

Mark Henderson – Committee Member. Born in the UK, I am actually 6.5 generations Australian! I spent over 30 years in Sydney running my own automotive marketing, recruitment and sales training company with over 200 dealership clients around Australia. When I sold this business, Margy and I went travelling around Australia in a Winnebago and on our way around discovered the Blackall Range.
We have been back quite a few times since and during our stays we were offered the Ray White Real Estate business not once but twice … firstly by Melinda Martin and then by Chris Smith! Having rebadged the agency, we have now been running Blackall Range Real Estate for almost 6 months, with my wife Margy handling the rent roll and the sales side of the business being handled by myself. We also bought a home in Montville which means a 10 minute commute across the ridge, which we absolutely love. The friendly folk of the area have really made us feel right at home in such a short space of time and we look forward to becoming part of this lovely community.

Nicole Hilton – Admin Support. Nicole is the business owner of Maleny Handmade Markets and NTH Events & PR as well as Montville Chamber of Commerce Administration Officer/Secretary. Working part time in many things she loves which allows Nicole to contribute to our community on many levels which is her passion. Nicole as past president has developed some great initiatives such as the Maleny Gift Card and will volunteer on this subcommittee going forward as well as the Events subcommittee having a wealth of experience in events, PR and marketing. She enjoys working with such proactive volunteers that want to make a difference not only to our local businesses but our community in general. Her motto is “one person can have a good idea but many can make that idea great.
